Oscars 2019: Emilia Clarke guarantees the ‘Game of Thrones’ finale will ‘shock’ fans
We are less than 50 days away from the premiere of the eighth and final season of “Game of Thrones,” and star Emilia Clarke says it will be a wild ride.
The 32-year-old actress dished about the hit HBO series on the red carpet for the 2019 Oscars Sunday, where she’s been tapped to present. Although Clarke didn’t give away any crucial details, she did warn fans that the final season with “shock” you.
“It’s going to be huge, that much everyone needs to know,” Clarke, who portrays Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons, told E!’s Ryan Seacrest. “It took us a very long time to shoot this one for a very good reason. … I know there’s going to be some things in this last season that’s going to shock people.”

When asked if she took any props from the show as a parting gift, Clarke jokingly revealed that the Iron Throne didn’t fit in her car.
“I’m not going to lie. I’m such a goody two shoes. Everyone was watching me all the time!” she said. “I tried to throw some things under the wig, hide them in my bag, nothing!”
The last season of “Game of Thrones” premieres on HBO April 14 (9 EST/PST).
