Prince dons an H&M polo shirt for his sixth birthday snap
A polo shirt fit for a prince! George dons a £5.99 H&M top for his sixth birthday portraits – after sporting a very similar style from the brand for two recent outings

Prince George appears to be a big fan of a green polo shirt – if his recent appearances are anything to go by.
In an official photograph released by Kensington Palace to mark his sixth birthday today, the young royal is pictured wearing a dark green polo, which retails at just £5.99 from high-street brand H&M.
And it’s not the first time the little style icon has opted for a similar wardrobe staple, as he previously wore one in a slightly lighter shade while visiting his mother Kate’s Chelsea Flower Show garden back in May.
He also donned the very same top when he watched his father William compete at the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day earlier this month.

In the birthday portrait, released yesterday and taken by his mother, 37, Prince George is pictured on a family holiday just a few days ago.
Royal official have not confirmed where the family are, although reports suggest they may have flown with Kate’s family to the exclusive Caribbean island of Mustique.
But George can be seen wearing a pair of blue and white striped swimming shorts by Sunuva, £40, over which Kate has quickly thrown his favoured green short-sleeved cotton polo shirt.

It features a ribbed collar, button placket, small embroidery detail on the chest and short slits in the sides – and is slightly longer at the back.
The Prince first wore a similar version back on May 20, when he visited Kate’s garden at the Chelsea Flower Show.
Thanks to his mother, the future king is said to be enjoying a fun-filled, ‘outdoorsy’ upbringing – perhaps reflected in what appears to be his favourite colour.
During the visit, the six-year-old was seen playing with the swing in his mother’s garden and chatting with his dad William, before adventurously clambering across the stream.
A barefoot George and Charlotte were seen dangling their legs over a stream, while an excited Louis ran along a wooden path carrying a branch as the Duke of Cambridge looked on smiling.
On this occasion, the popular top was paired with smart navy blue shorts, which were held up by a stylish brown belt.

Less than two months later on July 10, Prince George was again snapped wearing the lighter version of the polo shirt.
During the day, he was seen running around with his sister Princess Charlotte at the charity polo match that both Prince Harry and William were competing in.
Featuring a classic polo silhouette and green hue, it seemed to be the ideal garment for everyday wear and perfect for adventurous George.
Kate coordinated her son’s top with a pair of long camouflage green shorts and some navy blue plimsolls.
William and Harry were on opposing teams at the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day, which was being held in honour of late Leicester City owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who died in a helicopter crash in October 2018.
Later on, Kate took the children to the car where they all enjoyed a picnic – where George and Charlotte jumped into the back of the car and boot.
