A self-proclaimed psychologist who goes by @rootcausepsychology took to TikTok to reveal his ‘third eye’ tattoo on his forehead
Just one day before, he posted a video admitting he would get the tattoo on his forehead if the video ‘blew up,’ and although the video didn’t go viral he still got the forehead ink
The social media user admitted he got the tattoo to feel more enlightened and because he was ‘so fed up of living in fear’
He said: ‘You get a tattoo on your forehead — you’re enlightened.
‘The great mystics and spiritual teachers have not told you this hack, but I’m going to tell you, because I want everybody to be enlightened, and get a forehead tattoo.’
What is the third eye?
- Originating in Hinduism, the third eye is said to be a mystical concept that elevates one’s perception
- It symbolizes a higher conscious and promotes a state of enlightenment
- The third eye is said to appear on the forehead of enlightened beings
He added that he got the eye tattoo because he has been experiencing suicidal thoughts.
‘I got so fed up of living in fear, insecure, anxious self-conscious all the time — all that has just pent up into like suicidal rage.
‘Every day has been quite a pain to exist in. So, I just decided to give no f***s and live as if I’m going to die. Then at least I’ll have some enjoyment in my life.
‘My inner child desired to look like the coolest motherf***** in the world. I got a third eye now.’
He added that to make him feel even more enlightened he was going to get a $50,000 loan and take strangers on a shopping spree while giving them one of his lessons on spirituality.
Just one day before he got the forehead ink, he posted a video admitting he would get the tattoo on his forehead if the video ‘blew up.’
And although his video only received a couple hundred likes, the self-proclaimed psychologist still decided to ink himself.
In another video explaining why he got the tattoo, he added that he got it to look ‘cool’ and getting a job was the ‘least of [his] worries.’
He didn’t share any videos of himself getting inked, so it’s unclear whether the tattoo is temporary or permanent.
However, the majority of users filled his comments section, expressing concern for his mental state, while others were quick to poke fun at him.
‘Bro skipped all the steps and went straight to enlightenment,’ commented one user.
Another user added: ‘The unblinking stare is a sign of dissociation. You’re not yourself man, take care of yourself and be safe.’
One user wrote: ‘Bro is having a breakdown.’
‘Are you ok,’ questioned another user.
‘This man really got a forehead tattoo for 146 likes,’ added another user.
