Rep. Dan Crenshaw, who was dissed by Pete Davidson, calls comedian after troubling post

Pete Davidson heard from an unlikely ally following his disturbing Instagram post.

Dan Crenshaw, a former Navy SEAL-turned Texas Congressman-elect who Davidson once mocked on “Saturday Night Live,” told local media KPRC2 Houston that he reached out to the troubled comedian following what appeared to be a suicidal message.

“I talked to him personally (Sunday),” Crenshaw told the outlet. “We don’t go back very far. We’re not good friends. But I think he appreciated hearing from me.”

Davidson and Crenshaw came face to face on “SNL” in November a week after Davidson faced backlash on social media and from fellow cast member Kenan Thompson after comparing Crenshaw’s looks to “a hitman in a porno movie.”
