Sarah Ferguson left Balmoral early when Prince Philip, 97, arrived in Scotland ahead of schedule.
Fergie has arrived by commercial jet to met Prince Andrew at the Royal Family’s country pile near Aberdeen.

Sarah Ferguson: Fergie in the UK after Prince Andrew holiday claims
Judi James told Express.co.uk: “Usually ebullient and positive, Sarah looks uncharacteristically serious and reflective in these poses, walking with her head leaning forward as though impatient to get to her destination and with an eye expression that makes her look almost haunted.
“In one shot her lips are sucked in, which is often associated with regret or unhappiness and in the other her mouth is partially open but not in a smile.”
In latest reports Sarah Ferguson and Andrew have reportedly gone on a romantic getaway together after leaving Balmoral.
Now, an image posted by a fan shows the Duchess posing at a garden party with Jaidann Thompson, a three times Emmy award-winning news anchor from the US.
The presenter stood next to the royal, who is wearing a blue dress with dangling diamond earrings.

Why don’t Prince Philip and Sarah Ferguson get along according to reports?
It is claimed that Prince Philip has never been able to move past the initial feud caused when Sarah and Andrew split up.
A number of unfortunate stories in the papers caused damage to the Royal Family’s reputation that Philip, in particular, cannot forgive, it is claimed.
These include the famous images that saw a still married Sarah having her feet kissed in her holiday villa in St Tropez by her financial advisor John Bryan.
Although the photographs were taken five months after Andrew and Sarah announced the split, it was still said to infuriate Prince Philip.
A source told the Daily Beast: “She always likes to say how he ‘rules the Royal family with a rod of iron’. They loathe each other, to put it frankly.”
Sarah and Andrew are still close despite their divorce over 20 years ago.
They are said to still live in the Royal Lodge in Windsor together.
