Strictly's AJ Odudu looks incredible in tartan trousers as she limps on crutches following show exit

STRICTLY'S AJ Odudu showed off her fighting spirit in a pair of tartan trousers as she limped down the street on crutches.

The series finalist, put her tears of disappointment during Saturday night's final behind her and kicked out her moonboot as she posed for a series of photographs.

Her high-waisted flared trews were paired with a white T-shirt and large hooped earrings.

During Saturday night's final AJ broke down as she opened up about being forced to pull out of the competition after suffering ankle ligament damage.

The 33-year-old appeared with her dance partner Kai Widdrington and couldn't hold back the tears as she spoke to host Claudia Winkleman.

Tearing up almost immediately, the presenter said: "I still don’t know how to describe what it feels like to have a broken heart, but that’s what it’s like.

"We have had the best time on this show and I’ve been putting on a brave face. We’ve loved the show tonight.

"Rose and John, Johannes and Giovanni are incredible but we wanted to be on the dancefloor with them."

Her voice cracked: "So we’ve been swallowing tears throughout the night, but I’m just so happy. I’m genuinely happy and grateful to be here, to have done all of those incredible dances, learned so much, met all of these beautiful people, had the best outfits ever and the hairstyles!

"It’s just been the most incredible experience and I literally would not have been here without Kai.

"Learning to dance has truly been the biggest joy and every single week we have said ‘dance like it’s your last’.

"And I’m so glad that we did that from week one because we didn’t know that our last dance was our last dance. But I am glad that our last dances, plural, I’m glad that they were brilliant and that everyone enjoyed them.”

AJ and Kai revealed they wouldn't be competing in the final a day before the show.

Sharing the news, AJ said: "I’m deeply upset that I am unable to perform in the final due to a torn ligament in my right ankle.

"Learning to dance over the last 13 weeks has been an incredible honour and to do it alongside someone as special, patient and devoted as Kai [Widdrington] is something I’ll treasure forever.

“Thank you to the Strictly family for the experience, the medical team for trying to get me back on my feet and mostly, to everyone at home for watching and supporting. You’ve made this experience one to remember."
