Swanky property on the market for £1.5million – but the kitchen may put you off
Lots of people are looking for new homes at the minute as they try to make the most of the stamp duty holiday, which ends in June.
And many will be keen to check out this three-bedroom terraced house in Hampstead, London.
Despite the property being described as a "charming central village cottage" though, you may find that the kitchen puts you off.
The Victorian townhouse is a freehold and is in the heart of Hampstead Village.
It has a spacious double reception room and there are three bedrooms, a bathroom and a shower room on the upper floors.
The well-presented house, which is being marketed by Savills, Hampstead, is also offered chain free.
As well as this, the property is near many shops, bars and restaurants and has excellent transport connections to the City & the West End – being just 0.2 miles from Hampstead Station.
However, despite all this, you might regret forking out the £1.5million asking fee when you see the kitchen.
Despite other rooms in the home being spacious, the kitchen is somewhat compact – featuring just a sink and one hob on one side.
The other side of the 'cosy' kitchen has space for a fridge, a washing machine and a tiny worktop area.
The kitchen does open out into a conservatory though, which is a nice touch.
According to a mortgage repayment calculator, the buyer would need a deposit of around £150,000, with monthly payments totally nearly £6,000.
Renovations would also be needed if you wanted a more spacious kitchen area.
Meanwhile, if compact is what you're after, then why not check out this tiny detached house in Nottingham, which is only 12ft wide and 26ft high.
The two-bedroom property, which is thought to be the smallest detached house in Britain, is on sale for £140,000.
Despite it's small size, it has been described as "spacious inside" by an estate agent.

Jasmin Moll, branch manager of estate agents Burchell Edwards, said: "It's a lovely, unique property ideal for young couples or families and first-time buyers because it's been fully modernised.
"The owners are selling to upsize because they need something bigger.
"It's great value. A detached property in the area would be a lot more, between £180,000 and £240,000 depending on whether it was a three or four bedroom house and had a garage and driveway."
