The most searched for fashion trends of 2020, from Emily in Paris outfits to loungewear

The end of the year is almost upon us and for most of us it couldn’t come sooner, and with it in sight comes the time to look back at the most searched for fashion items of 2020.

It’s safe to say the pandemic has massively affected our fashion searches in a big way. Last year we were infatuated with the Royals and designer labels, however there’s no denying that this year has been all about comfort, slouchy loungewear, activewear and hit Netflix TV shows, all influencing our shopping choices.

So, with a little help from eBay’s 2020 report and some of our favourite celebs, we take a look back at some of the most iconic trends of this year that we simply couldn’t resist buying!

Emily in Paris

Emily took us to Paris earlier this year – and we were totally hooked! With some stand out fashion moments and a wardrobe many of us only dream of having, it’s no surprise that the infamous beret’she wore was searched for every sixteen seconds, while the tweed jacket that completed the iconic Emily look was searched for every fourteen seconds according to eBay.

The Crown

When The Crown made its comeback, it was Diana’s iconic looks that skyrocketed in popularity. From her show-stopping Royal Opera House appearance in that red dress’to the unique Sheep jumper that fans went wild for – we all found ourselves a little obsessed with the late Princess’ outfits.

Let’s face it we couldn’t have survived the year without an extensive array of comfies. From cosy two pieces, to a chic hoody and tracksuit, to the new working from home attire.

This year has been all about loungewear, and we’ve loved that some of our favourite celebs such as Jacqueline Jossa have been bringing out all the comfy outfit inspo, making it that much easier for us to get our hands on some stylish sets.

With the likes of Molly-Mae Hague showing us just how to wear them as she launched another collection with EGO. Some of our fave stylish celebs such as Olivia Bowen caught our attention as they turned up the heat in their activewear attire this year. Tie Dye

Tie dye came back with a bang this year, and due to lockdown it was in the form of loungewear. With many celebs such as Vogue Williams, Victoria Beckham and Love Island stars jumping on the trend and rocking the 70’s print. Some celebs even took to tie dying their own clothing, and creating their own unique looks. Many of us followed the trend finding this a cheap alternative, and a fun activity for the whole family to enjoy during lockdown.
