Twitter SLAMS new Zara logo design claiming it looks claustrophobic

Zara is slammed over its ‘pointless’ logo change that sees the letters brought closer together – as shoppers joke it’s like them ‘squeezing into the brand’s clothes’

Zara has been criticised after it released a new logo, with some shoppers branding the change ‘pointless’. 

The high street retailer recently unveiled a new design with the brand name written in large, overlapping black letters that some claim are difficult to read.

Many fans were left confused over why Zara decided to launch a new design, with one asking: ‘Why fix something that isn’t broken?’ 

Others took the opportunity to poke fun at the brand over its notoriously small sizing, joking: ‘Zara logo is relateable as its a size 14 trying to squeeze into a size 8.’

It is believed the font chosen is the signature typography of Zara artistic director and founder, Fabien Baron. 

Some shoppers were left questioning the quality of the final product.  

Some claimed the new font and spacing made the brand name more difficult to read 

One tweeted: ‘When you have no monay to pay a graphic designer and you use powerpoint #ZARA’ 

Another tweeted: ‘Seriously Zara, what the hell?? You forgot the spaces!’

A third posted: ‘I don’t wanna know how much money has been made on this meaningless change.’ 

Some shoppers were left questioning the quality of the final product and joked it looked like a ‘Power Point’ creation 

While another said that money could have been spent elsewhere, tweeting: ‘Instead if you to spend money fixing that monstrosity of a website you rebrand to a logo that matches it.’

Some came up with rather more joking responses, with one tweeting: ‘It makes me feel cramped and crowded and stressed out’ and another said, ‘Zara’s new logo is making me claustrophbic’.
