Tesco takes extreme action to stop shoppers bagging all reduced items

One wished they had held off for the offer: "Stop ittttt.

"I just paid £50 from home bargains for 6ft – if only I just waited."

Another simply wrote "bargain" when their friend tagged them in the post.

It is just this tree and two others are currently in the 50% off sale.

They are available in store and online for half price until November 10.

This shopper said she had a special October discount code which knocked off an extra £6 from her price.

But the sale price for the snow covered tree is £50 reduced from £100 – which is still a hefty saving.

Also in the sale is the 6ft green pre-lit artificial tree which is down from £75 to £37.50 and comes with 120 LED lights.

The last tree in the half price sale is the artificial 7ft Scandinavian fir which been priced down from £85 to £42.50.

If you do decide to order one of these products online it is worth remembering that there is a delivery fee, which starts from £4.95.

Or you can pick a store to deliver it to for £2.95.

As always, The Sun recommends having a shop around for similar products to see where you can get the best price.

Several group members pointed out in the comments of this post that B&Q is also selling 7ft artificial trees.

We had a look at they're right – you can grab a 7.5ft plain green tree from B&Q for just £30, £20 less than the Wilko.

It does have other options such as snowy ones with lights but they will set you back a bit more – selling online for £44.99 just for a 4ft one.

These trees are also available online and in store.

We used Google's shopping search tool to see if we could find any similar trees for the same low price.

Wayfair has a "snow gray" tree for £49.99 and is only available online but has got free two day delivery.

The Range is also selling a plain green 7ft one for £49.99 and is available online with free delivery.

We recently listed a whole range of artificial trees on the market from just £11.
