Virgin Atlantic is launching new flights and holidays to Cape Town for 2020

Virgin Atlantic has announced the launch of brand new flights to Cape Town for 2020, as well as a host of new holiday packages.

The airline will be offering a direct route from London Heathrow to Cape Town from the 25h October 2020.

The new flights will be on sale on the Virgin Atlantic website from Tuesday 18th February with return flights in Economy starting from £713pp.

The new daily route will be operated on board a Boeing 787-9 aircraft, with a night flight from Heathrow to Cape town, and a day flight on the return leg of the journey.

It's the perfect excuse for holidaymakers who've always wanted to explore Cape Town's best things to see and do, and of course for Love Island fans who've been inspired by the winter version of the show which is filmed there. (In fact, there are plenty of Love Island-style villas throughout the city worth having on your radar).

  • Love Island fans admit to planning South Africa holidays purely because of the show

  • Airbnb's dreamiest homes of the decade from a mermaid house to a jungle retreat

It's not just flights which will be on offer for Brits.

Virgin Holidays will also be offering a host of new Cape Town holiday packages which include the new flights, and there are some luxurious breaks to be found.

For example, a four-night break with flights, based on a B&B stay at the President Hotel will start from £899pp. You can find out more on the Virgin Holidays website.

Juha Jarvinen, Chief Commercial Officer, Virgin Atlantic commented: "2020 is an extremely exciting year of continued growth for Virgin Atlantic.
